Round Towers Year 7-9 West London Gaelic Football Tournament Winners
Declan Egan and Michael Maher Jnr, were proud to jointly manager a superb group of boys who took a very worthwhile trip to Isleworth to participate in a recent Tournament.
Round Towers were delighted to field a team comprising Year 7-9 boys who all attend Richard Challoner secondary school, where it could be safely said that the Gaelic Football lessons are taken very seriously. The boys swept the board in a West London Tournament held in Isleworth on 25th March winning all four 9-a-side matches.
The boys are trained by Round Towers as part of a school development initiative within the local community with Richard Challoner being one of the schools which benefits and who no doubt are very proud of their pupils who showed great determination, skill and discipline during the tournament.
It was the first gaelic football match for Eddie Long, Conor Walsh, Matthew Phelan and brothers Ciaran and Patrick Howard.
Other teams were fielded by St Marks Academy, Isleworth (A and B teams) and Hounslow Manor.
